Job Description - Production/Development Engineer

Avālence LLC, www.avalence.com, a rapidly growing producer of emission-free, reliable and cost-efficient hydrogen generating equipment based on electrolysis, is seeking an engineer with a background in process equipment. A strong background in mechanical design is needed, with chemical, controls, and thermal knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities include all aspects of engineering assistance in the development, fabrication and testing of Avālence's Hydrofiller units. Primary responsibiities will include: refining design and production drawings from either a sketch or a listing of functional parameters, developing production methods, producing fabrication ready drawings, and overseeing the production process. Duties will also include, among others, conducting component, shakedown, and performance testing, new process or product design, and on-site commissioning and support for our early field units.

Avālence prefers a self-starter and strongly prefers prior experience interacting with personnel on the shop floor. Good communication skills, to be able to articulate specific conclusion and questions, are necessary. CAD skills are necessary, ProE, or AutoCad experience a plus.
